Penalties for Late Reporting RCW 51.28.025 RCW 51.48.010
An employer found to have engaged in claim suppression is subject to a penalty of at least $250, not to exceed $2,500, for each offense.
Every employer shall be liable for penalties and may be liable if an injury or occupational disease has been sustained by a worker prior to the time he or she has secured the payment of compensation to a penalty not less than 50 percent nor more than 100 hundred percent of the cost for the injury or occupational disease. Any employer who has failed to secure payment of compensation for his workers covered may also be liable to a maximum penalty in a sum of 500 hundred dollars or in a sum double the amount of premiums incurred prior to securing payment of compensation, whichever is greater, for the benefit of the medical aid fund.
